University Advising

2026 Day of the Advisor Conference

Innovative Advising: Leveraging AI Responsibly to Empower Student Success

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to transform higher education, advisors have an opportunity to thoughtfully integrate emerging technologies into their practice while maintaining the human-centered relationships that are essential to student success. This year's Day of the Advisor will provide a space to explore practical AI tools available on campus, examine the ethical and responsible use of AI, and discuss strategies for enhancing advising through innovation – not replacement. Together, we will examine how AI can support advisors by improving efficiency, strengthening student engagement, and expanding access to personalized support while preserving the empathy, critical thinking, and professional judgment that define exceptional advising.
