Summary of disruption: The lobby escalator that serves the University Library (Building 15) remains inoperable because a safety-related piece of equipment needs replacement. The escalator will remain out of service until the part can be located and shipped. There is no timeline for repairs at this juncture.
Reason for disruption: Allow a contractor crew to replace a damaged safety-related part in the escalator.
How does this affect me? Library staff and visitors are urged to use stairways and elevators in the building until the escalator repair is completed.

Summary of disruption: A plant science modular building will be hoisted onto its foundation adjacent to the Fruit/Crops Unit (Building 28) starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m.
Reason for disruption: Allow a crane contractor crew to place the new modular building on its foundation.
How does this affect me? The northern section in the parking lot of the building will be cordoned off to accommodate the crane. The southern section of the lot will be available for parking.
What do I need to do? Users of the building, pedestrians and drivers of campus vehicles are urged to use caution when approaching the work site. Please share this information with occupants and users of the building who may have not received this message.

Summary of disruption: A project to replace the wall cooling system in the BioTrek Greenhouse (Building 4A) will start at 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. The work will be performed primarily on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, crews will perform weekend work on Saturday, Jan. 31 and Sunday, Feb. 1. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Feb. 13. Access to the greenhouse will be limited during the work.
Reason for disruption: Allow a contractor crew to replace the cooling system in the greenhouse.
How does this affect me? The work will be primarily confined to the wall cooling system section but could also impact adjacent areas in the building.
What do I need to do? Greenhouse access will be restricted during the project. Please share this information with occupants and users of the building who may have not received this message.

Summary of disruption: Contractor crews will begin replacing the roof of the Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture (Building 2) starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Equipment trucks will periodically and temporarily obstruct a pathway and loading area north of the building. The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, March 24.
Reason for disruption: Allow for the demolition of the old roof and installation of a new roof.
How does this affect me? Walkways and areas around the building may be closed periodically and temporarily because of the work. Nominal noise will be generated during specific work stages and for varying durations.
What do I need to do? Pedestrians and drivers of campus vehicles are urged to exercise caution and use detours around any closed walkways and access points during the work. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
