Duties & Responsibilities  The Conference Aide will be responsible for the prepping of building for guests’ arrival. They will also conduct check ins and check outs of those guests. They will be required to work front desk, linen, and any other miscellaneous shifts. The Conference Aide position will be from the end of Spring 2025 to the end of Summer 2025. The Conference Aide must be able to provide great customer service to clients while meeting deadlines, work well under pressure, and act as a liaison between the client and University for all the client needs. All interested parties MUST be available for all MANDATORY Conference Services trainings that will be held on: Friday, 4/25/2025 from 10:00am – 2:00pm and Monday, 5/19/2025 – Friday, 5/23/2025 from 8:00am-5:00pm.  

Requirements & Qualifications Student must be currently enrolled full time at ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog, Pomona. Must be in good standings with the University and Judicial Affairs and have at least a 2.0 GPA. During the summer months, this position is a 20-hours a week position. The Conference Aide position is required to live on campus during the summer months. In addition, student must have excellent verbal communication as well as customer service skills. Must be able to lift 15 pounds and stand for a long period of time. A background check must satisfactorily be completed before a candidate can be offered this position. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog for this position. The background check consists of the following: Employment verification, education verification, reference checks, and checks of the following systems and databases: National Social Security Number/Address Locator, Felony/Misdemeanor, National Criminal Database, Federal Criminal, Department of Motor Vehicles, and National Sex Offender Registry. Live Scan for all hiring employees. 

Compensation: $16/hr

University Housing Services at ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog, Pomona is seeking motivated leaders to join our team for the 2024 – 2025 academic year as Transfer Thrive Student Ambassadors.

Transfer Thrive Student Ambassador

As a direct response to the needs of our Transfer students, University Housing Services (UHS) developed the Transfer Thrive program. Transfer Thrive is dedicated to serving Transfer students through a dynamic living learning community designed to support Transfer students in their academic, career, and personal growth. Transfer Thrive Student Ambassadors offer career, educational, and social programming and workshops. In addition, Transfer Thrive Student Ambassadors are responsible for outreaching and serving as peer mentors to Transfer residents to ensure they experience a sense of belonging and connection.

Position Experiences & Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for Transfer residents and student staff to thrive.
• Plan and lead workshops and events on topics related to career development, academic success, and personal wellness in partnership with campus partners.
• Develop and implement passive programming initiatives that address the interests and needs of the Transfer Thrive community.
• Create content and manage Transfer Thrive’s newsletter and/or social media.
• Serve as a peer mentor by connecting with Transfer residents, encouraging involvement, and supporting their transition to campus life.
• Model values of inclusivity and equity, using these principles to guide conversations, programs, and interactions with residents.

Position Parameters:

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, full or part-time for 2024 – 2025 school year
