There’s lots to do and see at Pumpkin Fest! Many activities only require general admission to enjoy.  Guests can pay with major credit cards or Apple Pay while at Pumpkin Fest, although some vendors will accept cash for payment.

Pumpkin Hill:
Our huge patch includes hundreds of medium to jumbo pumpkins for purchase, surrounded by plenty of photo ops.

The Marketplace:
Handmade, artisan, and craft vendors curated by ; ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog student club booths with games and other activities.

The Main Stage:
Live entertainment from student and other musical groups.

×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog Farm Stand:
A good old-fashioned farm stand featuring unusual pumpkins, fall decorations, honey, pumpkin bread, and other goodies.

Jr. Farmers Discovery Zone
This area features the Kid’s Corn Maze, a corn box, and other games.

Sunflower Maze:
A beautiful maze filled with over a dozen different types of sunflowers that make it a great spot for photos and a place to enjoy the grace of these beautiful flowers.

The Center Parking Lot is the place for great food and snacks. You'll also find shaded picnic tables and hay bales for sitting. 

The Petting Farm: Our animals are some of the cutest and friendliest petting animals around. Meet and greet our furry friends with over 20 lovable goats, sheep (including our own celebrity Oreo), a calf, and a surprise or two. Feed cups are available for $3 apiece. The Cow Train closes at 6 p.m., so plan accordingly.

Moo Moo Cow Train: 
We moved the Cow Train, and it's bigger and wilder than ever! Ride on an antique tractor-pulled Happy Cow Train car traveling around the petting farm pasture. The Cow Train closes at 6 p.m., so plan accordingly.

Large Corn Maze: It’s a crazy web of twisting, turning trails that will leave you scratching your head searching for the way out. This corn is not for the faint of heart, but don’t worry: there’s always a way out. The corn maze closes at 6 p.m., so plan accordingly.

Hay Wagon Ride: Enjoy touring the farm at Kellogg Ran on a hay wagon ride pulled by one of our antique tractors restored, maintained, and driven by the members of the Western Antique Power Associates (WAPA). It circles the corn maze and some of the growing fields. Your student tour guide will share some info on things going on at the farm. The hay wagon rides close at 6 p.m., so plan accordingly.

Themed Weekends

Each themed weekend brings additional activities, educational experiences, demonstrations, and entertainment—giving you a great reason to come back more than once.

• Oct. 10-11: Pumpkinzania - Kick off PumpkinFest with a weekend celebrating all things pumpkin! Explore pumpkin-themed activities, hands-on demonstrations, family-friendly displays, crafts, and interactive experiences led by ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog students and programs throughout the farm.
• Oct. 17-18: Insect Festival - Discover the fascinating world of insects during Insect Festival Weekend presented by the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog Department of Plant Science. Guests can enjoy live insect displays, educational demonstrations, hands-on activities, crafts, and opportunities to learn about insects, agriculture, pollinators, and the ecosystems around us.
• Oct. 24-25: Indigenous Agriculture Weekend - Celebrate Indigenous agriculture, foodways, culture, and knowledge through demonstrations, educational displays, hands-on activities, and presentations from Native partners and the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog community. Guests can learn about traditional agricultural practices and the continuing role of Indigenous knowledge in food and farming.
• Oct. 31: Halloween at PumpkinFest - Celebrate Halloween at PumpkinFest with a full day of family-friendly fall fun. Enjoy Halloween-themed activities, crafts, demonstrations, festive displays, costumes, and special experiences throughout the farm while exploring all of the traditional PumpkinFest attractions.

Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch

The ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog Farm Store sells a selection of the freshest produce and fruit straight off the university farm. We also have a variety of gourmet food and snack items for you to enjoy. During October, The Farm Store sells a wide variety of pumpkins in all shapes, sizes, and types!

Please note: The Farm Store will hold special weekend hours during PumpkinFest. For those who only want to shop at the Farm Store, the store will be open from 7 to 10 a.m. on PumpkinFest weekends. After those hours, paid PumpkinFest admission and a wristband are required to shop at the Farm Store.

For the other days of the week, the store will open at its regular hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
