Financial Wellbeing

Students work on their laptops

Financial Wellbeing is more than money.

It's your ability to meet current needs, navigate financial systems and decisions, withstand setbacks through personal and community support, persist toward educational and career goals, and build the opportunities and resources needed for long-term economic mobility and shared prosperity.

We're starting by listening.

Make Every Buck Matter

Financial wellbeing emerges through the interaction of financial, institutional, academic, social, career, and community conditions that shape a student's ability to thrive.

As we build the Financial Wellbeing Program, the student voice is our most important source of insight. Listening sessions are a chance to share your experiences, challenges, strengths, and ideas, so that future decisions are shaped by student perspectives, not assumptions.

Join a listening session
Listening sessions are for current students only. Each one runs 45 minutes. Sessions are available and late October into early November.

What we’ll ask
What has been hardest about money as a student?
What or who has helped you most with money decisions and challenges?
What do you wish the university better understood about students’ financial realities?
Think of a time money got in the way of life. What would have made the difference?

Before you sign up
Sessions are audio recorded for note-taking and analysis only. There is no video recording.
Recordings are permanently deleted within three weeks of the session.
Recordings are never shared publicly. They are used only for note-taking, analysis, and program planning.
Consent to audio recording is required to take part.

RSVP and you’ll get a confirmation email with the location or Zoom link.

As a thank you, you'll receive $5 in Bronco Bucks credited to your account for taking part in the full session. Please allow two weeks for processing.
